QUALITY IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORLD
Certification
With regard to our management activities, products, processes and services, Trecoop Fruites, SCCL is committed to upholding the principles of quality, food security and safety, authenticity, environmental protection, occupational health and safety, corporate social responsibility and ethical conduct.
In line with this commitment, Trecoop has implemented strict quality-control systems at its facilities. These systems respect the farming environment and guarantee the safety of our produce, thereby maintaining its inherent levels of quality while ensuring our facilities are safe places to work.
Evidence of this commitment can be found in the form of:
A bi-directional traceability system.
GRASP module, integrated production and GLOBALG.A.P. certification.
BRC and IFS certification for our facilities, thereby guaranteeing our products and production processes.
Internal application of the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) system, which allows for comprehensive monitoring and control of the production process.
The introduction of alternatives to chemicals in our production systems.
Production
All of the production activities of Trecoop Fruites are carried out in accordance with the regulations of the Catalan Council for Integrated Production and the principles of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). To this end, we have obtained the following certifications:
The GLOBALG.A.P. standard is designed to ensure consumer confidence with regard to agricultural production.
The main aim is to develop approaches to production that respect the environment and limit the use of chemical products, and to implement a production system that takes a responsible approach to human health and employee safety.
Ultimately, the GLOBALG.A.P. standard is based on the organization’s Manual of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).
PRODUCCIO-INTEGRADA-LOGO
At Trecoop, we practise integrated production in line with the regulations set by the Catalan Council for Integrated Production.
The key aim of this approach is to facilitate the production of high-quality produce, minimize the use of phytosanitary products, reduce the amount of waste generated and optimize production methods by integrating all resources available.
Trecoop complies with the social guidelines specified in the GRASP standard.
Social considerations don’t just play a fundamental role in our production activities; they also enable us to comply with stipulations on environmental safety and quality.
Facilities
One of the aims of our quality-management system is to monitor and control our production processes in order to maintain the quality of our products and implement standardization and handling procedures at our facilities with a view to maximizing food safety.
In recognition of its commitment to these principles, Trecoop has been awarded external certification by the BRC and IFS.

The BRC (British Retail Consortium) standard is awarded to producers of private-label products and sets out a series of requirements for the company’s food-safety management system. The standard takes the HACCP system as its starting point, although it places particular emphasis on production facilities and the introduction of elements to improve management systems.
Although BRC certification is neither obligatory nor mandated by law, it is required and valued by our British distributors, as well as by numerous Spanish and European customers.
The IFS (International Featured Standards) specify the requirements for food-safety management systems. The standards take the HACCP system as their starting point, although they place particular emphasis on production facilities and the introduction of elements to improve management systems. The majority of our Spanish and European customers require us to comply with this standard and hold it in high regard.
